Q&A with Lindsay Rowlands, Case Manager

1. Where are you from?


2. Where did you study?

University of central England (Birmingham City University ) to get my nursing Diploma 2002. 

Then Huddersfield University to obtain a mentor qualification at BA honors level 2013.

Leeds beckett university CPD module 2021.

3. Where did you work previously?

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS trust and Local Health and Wellbeing.

4. What gets you out of bed in the morning?

My son, my cats and my partner in no particular order !!

5. What’s an average day look like for you?  

Wake up early, enjoy a bit of ‘me time’ with a cup of coffee and my breakfast then organise my son and make sure he is sorted for whatever he’s doing that day, whether it be school or activities. Then during the week;  out to work.

The weekend I enjoy park run, spending quality time with my son and partner whatever that may involve, walking, visiting family and friends.

6. What’s been the single best moment of your career?

Difficult to pin-point one particular moment as nursing has so many ups and downs, but anything I have done to have a positive influence in someones recovery, making a difference and also any of my academic achievements as academia is something I find hard, so when pass it is an amazing feeling!

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Hopefully I will  be a successful case manager and continuing to work hard to help clients meet their goals.

8. If you didn’t do this job – what would you do?

Teaching high school or lecturing.
