Blackpool Wyre & Fylde Headway have invited Director of AMS Case Management, Marie Sloan to be the Chairwoman of their board of trustees.
Marie brings with her a wealth of experience from her many years working with both children and adults with acquired brain injuries.
Marie is delighted to have been invited to be a trustee of Blackpool Wyre & Fylde Headway: “I am truly proud to have been asked to join the other trustees. I’m passionate about working with and for those with acquired brain injuries. The work that Headway does is massively important and very valuable to those out there in need of support, advice and a safe environment in which to share. I’m looking forward to adding to the already excellent work being done by the current trustees, the wider team and the many volunteers.” She said.
Blackpool Wyre & Fylde Headway aim to provide information, support and social activities for people suffering from acquired brain injuries. They also aim to support carers, family and friends. Perhaps most importantly, they offer the chance to share experiences knowing that the group members understand some of the problems and difficulties that acquired brain injury brings.
